Wine Review: To Chardonnay with Love………

Hubby whipped up a great pasta and chicken meal for us and I decided to pair it with a Chardonnay. Upon searching the wine cabinet, I realized that I did not have one in stock. So hubby ventured to the cellar where he pulls out a 2009 bottle of Grgich Hills Chardonnay. I have had it for several years now. Although apprehensive about opening it, because I wanted to hold on to it, I decided to have Hubby pop it open. And BOY am I glad I did!!!! This is BY FAR one of my favorite Chardonnays. I usually like my Chardonnay with a little tropical fruit, mocha, vanilla, oak and a buttery finish. This one is very fruit forward with melons, apples and citrus. The smooth, oaky finish is superb!! I HAVE to get another bottle!!!!!
