I held on to this one as long as I could, telling myself that I would save it for some great occasion. Before tasting, I knew this gem from Raymond Vineyards would not disappoint. And then it happened. My great occasion to open this bottle was upon me. It was not a party or special celebration. Really long days at work and busy weekends did the trick.
This beauty was left over from my February Circle of Boisset Wine Club membership.
Winemaker’s Notes:
“Aromas of cassis, raspberry, red cherry, black pepper and violets followed by lush, fruit forward flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum throughout along with spicy pepper, vanilla and earth in the long, smooth finish. A full-bodied, complex wine with a rich, round mouth feel and nicely integrated tannins.”
