Resolutions for the New Year!

Happy New Year All!! (Although we are almost into February)

Every new year brings new opportunities.  I am sure that by now, most of you have made promises to yourself that you hope to keep this year.  I can think of a thousand things I have accumulated over that years that were “must-dos” for the new year.  Exercise, diets, reading, saving money…..the list could go on forever!  I have to admit that I am not the best at keeping resolutions.  Except this year.  When you make resolutions involving things you love, it is must easier to make the sacrifice to get it done.  I have decided to choose something I love to do and expand it into something new each year.  So, since I love wine, “The Wine Promise” it is.  Each year I will challenge myself with something new regarding the vast world of wine.

In 2016, I would really love to expand my knowledge base of French wines.  I have tasted so few French wines over the years that I could hardly name a favorite so far.  I will not nail down how I am going to do it.  I just plan to get it done.  French is the language of love and I love wine.  There you have it!

I have a couple of friends who could use some “wine promises” of their own.  I have so many friends and family that continue to stay in their “sweet wine safety zone.”  Another challenge for me this year will be to get as many people as possible out of their comfort zones.

What about you?  What will you challenge yourself to do in the world of wine this year.
